Well, it has been exactly 32 days since I have last checked in and quite a bit has happened! I’ll keep it short and sweet and try to stick to the highlights, because otherwise, this feels like an overwhelming task!
Last time we talked, you saw pictures of the partially completed bedrooms. Before I show you the finished products, take a look at the before photos and thought process here.
As you see, the seagrass is installed (for the most part – not including the doorways that they still need to bind, but only after new hardwoods replace the laminate) and I’m soooo excited about it! It looks just as great as I hoped it would! Here is a little up close look…

We also went ahead and installed Container Store Elfa organization for our closets…
I also wanted to do something fun on the closet doors so I went with these agate/quartz pulls. I’m not sure if they are staying, because I feel like they may be a touch small for the scale of the doors, but they are oh so fun!

and then there were the less glamorous but just as impactful updates like swapping out the switches, outlets and covers and vent covers. Fresh white just goes miles in updating…
[dimmer switch...oooh aaaah (thanks Dad!)]
[fresh outlets and covers]
…especially when your vent covers looked something like this before.
[blah!]
Ryan and I moved into the new house on Monday, October 22nd. At this point, we are waiting to get bids from a few builders to do the renovations we have in mind. I’ll provide some more info on our ‘wish list’ of renovations when I’m feeling super motivated. I think that is all for now!

Through the window, I see lynda supervising, with her hands on her hips. I can’t wait to see your home with your touches on it.
